About me

[edit | edit source]
I am intrigued by patterns in nature and psychology.

Hello. My name is James Neill (he/him). I live in Canberra, Australia.

I am passionate about open academia which means that I like to share knowledge openly.

I work as an Assistant Professor in the Discipline of Psychology at the University of Canberra, Australia.

Here on English Wikiversity, I am a custodian and bureaucrat. I've made over 70,000 edits here since 2005 (statistics about my Wikiversity edit history (xtools)).

Currently, I teach a 3rd-year undergraduate psychology unit called motivation and emotion and a 4th-year Honours unit about research methods in psychology. Previously, I've taught personality and individual differences, social psychology, and survey research and design in psychology.

My research expertise includes outdoor education and green exercise. More broadly, I am interested in positive psychology and environmental psychology.

I like exploring, mountain biking, and permaculture gardening.

Maybe we can connect?
