From Wikiversity

My name is James Neill (he/him). I work as an Assistant Professor in the Discipline of Psychology at the University of Canberra.

I am passionate about open academia. That means that I like to share knowledge openly.

On English Wikiversity, I am a custodian and bureaucrat. I've made ~75,000 edits on Wikiversity and ~4,600 edits on Wikipedia since 2005.

I teach a 3rd-year undergraduate psychology unit, motivation and emotion, and a 4th-year Honours unit, research methods in psychology. Here is my teaching philosophy.

My research expertise includes outdoor education, green exercise, and the effects of group-based intervention programs. More broadly, I am interested in positive psychology and environmental psychology.

My presentation topics include open education, use of wikis in higher education, and student-staff collaborative development of open educational resources.

My most recent project is: Interactive classroom exercises using Google Forms and Sheets.

I also like exploring outdoors, mountain biking, and permaculture gardening.

Maybe we can connect?
