  • Symbol neutral vote.svg Neutral support as Associate Editor. I think full editorship is premature in this stage. Would you be willing to join in this role? --Steven Fruitsmaak (Reply) 20:35, 12 November 2018 (UTC)
  • Symbol support vote.svg Support Would be a superb addition to the team!   - Mark D Worthen PsyD (talk) 11:13, 13 November 2018 (UTC)
  • Symbol support vote.svg Support Despite not having experience with a journal, I think that they have a particularly deep knowledge of wikis (there are only 34 elected stewards across all of WikiMedia projects&languages). I'd also support as associate editor if we wanted to formalise a principle that applicants without prior peer-review-coordination experience should join as associate editor first before moving to the board after assisting with a organising a peer review (as per discussion here). Associate editor application of Sherylock

Sherylock
Areas of expertise: Immunology, microbiology, hematology, inflammation

Relevant experience:

Professional - My college studies were in Medical Lab Technology. I was certified as a phlebotomist. I have performed Multiple Mini-Interviews of potential medical students for the Dean's office at my local College of Medicine for a number of years; they were the first medical school in the US to pilot MMIs and I'm proud to have been a part of that. I have attended medical seminars and had the opportunity to network with a number of professionals to maintain my passion for medical topics.
Publishing - I read medical research papers, synopsize and tweet the ones I think are of particular importance or interest to the medical community or the public; my followers include Guardian Science and various doctors. I have also proofread non-medical books for friends publishing their own works.
Open - I have edited Wikipedia under a different account for over 10 years. Most of my editing has been article cleanup, copyediting, finding reliable references and simplifying complex terminology for the general reader, but I have created a few articles in conjunction with the Women in Red project. I attended the 2018 WikiConference North America where I was introduced to Wikidata, and hope to develop querying skills. I also attended the medical and dental lectures where I made some potential collaborative contacts. As I wish to maintain some privacy, I will be happy to answer questions regarding specific places/accounts via the private Board email.

I confirm that I will act in accordance with the policies of the WikiJournal of Medicine. Sherylock (discusscontribs) 05:18, 3 December 2018 (UTC)
