Electronics Images

[edit source]

Hey Eadthem, I tried to find you today on #Wikiversity-en, but you were nowhere to be seen. I took a bunch of pictures of test equipment like you wanted today. Some of the pictures didnt come out because they were all blurry, or the flash obscured the front panels or something like that. I've got about 15 images that did turn out though, and i will try to take some more tomorrow. The images are all uploaded onto commons, and are copyleft licensed, so you can do with them what you please: commons:User:Whiteknight/My Images. Let me know what else you need. --Whiteknight (Versity) (Books) 02:54, 15 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Dropped by to Hi!

[edit source]

Hi Eadthem, nothing interesting ever happens it seems on my talk page so I thought I would enliven yours with a brief Hello! If I were a barnstar kind of guy you would have already earned one for your continuous and valuable efforts at EE. Maybe we will whip up a Lunar Boom Town Barnstar for critical infrastructure contributors or something soon. Easier to spam people that way. 8) Catch you next time on #wikiversity-en IRC. Mirwin 04:59, 18 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Decided your reward should not wait for Lunar Boom Town grapics designers to show up so I hearby award you the following for improving EE learning resources we will need, and thanks for your support!
The Learning Cycle Barnstar
Excellent initiative and persistence in improving EE learning resources at Wikiversity. Mirwin 05:19, 18 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks

[edit source]

Hi. Thanks for sorting out my DIV's and things on the main page. I was about to go back again today and try to sort them out - and lo-and-behold someone else got there first! Looks like very pretty and well-ordered source now. -- McCormack 11:52, 20 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Vertical alignment problem on main page

[edit source]

Hi, Eadthem. As you sorted my previous alignment problems so well, I asking for some help! Some extra news was added to the main page a couple of days ago, which lengthened the right column and revealed a vertical alignment problem with the 4 topic boxes in the centre. It looks like a simple "valign=top" is missing somewhere in your tables, and I went over this very thoroughly and tried things out in preview mode - with no luck. Perhaps your more expert eye can see where the alignment problem is? McCormack 06:03, 28 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Nice to talk to you on IRC yesterday. Did you check out the new alignment and table configuration on different browsers? I'm guessing that if you did, I'd know about it by now! :-) --McCormack 06:31, 30 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Electronic engineering merge

[edit source]

Thanks for the heads up. The following, "sometimes referred to as electrical and electronic engineering" from Wikipedia:Electrical engineering threw me off. I suppose it may just be best to remove the commented merge... which I will do. --Remi 21:01, 17 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Electronic engineering/School Face Lift

[edit source]

ping- Thuvack 13:04, 10 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please have a look at this proposed School Face lift. It incorporates catergorisation and course wish list on sub pages see School of Electrical Engineering new look. Also Department news are moved to a sub page. Please see this discussion for clarity on motivations towards this standardisation. I will be moving the Proporsal to the school page on Wed 23rd July. Your input on this will be apreciated. ;-)Thuvack 06:39, 21 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Wikiversty:Fair use

[edit source]

I noticed that this page was misspelled. I moved it to Wikiversity:Fair use and I deleted the previous page. I hope this doesn't interfere with anything. If there are any problems, please feel free to contact me. Ottava Rima (talk) 03:10, 16 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Image license

[edit source]

I saw, you were uploading a new images under GFDL. I would like to note, that images uplaoded under this licence are useless, because:

  • each copy of the image distributed to the third parties should go with the complete licence (so its difficult to disribute it via print)
  • each copy of the image distributed to the third parties should go with full history list, all contributers must be listed

So I would recomend you, to license these files under CC-BY-SA 3.0 license.--Juandev 08:14, 4 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

page moved into your userspace

[edit source]
Pages have been moved into your userspace

Here are two wikitext scripts that you can use to keep track of subpages in your userspace.

[[special:prefixindex/User:{{BASEPAGENAME}}/|My subpages]] creates a page called My subpages

{{Subpages/Pagename|User:{{BASEPAGENAME}}}} creates a list of all subpages in your userspace.

Keep in mind that these two scripts here on this talk page, and on your user page User:Eadthem. They won't work on most Wikiversity pages.--~~~~
