Wikiversity:Candidates for Custodianship/Mu301

From Wikiversity

It has been suggested to me that I could be more helpful here as a custodian. For the most part I have not felt a need for additional tools, but there have been a few times while editing that it would have been more efficient for me to make changes instead of requesting help. I've been an editor on Wikipedia for three years, mostly working on astronomy articles and active in astronomy Wikiprojects, but also reverting vandalism. [1] I've been active here at wikiversity for one year. Most of my edits are astronomy content, although I have done a fair amount of organization of other subject pages and reverting vandalism. I'm particularly interested in research and fostering school and university projects. I also have some experience with unix system and network administration on a large multi-user w:Free-Net. Piror to my current work at Brown University's Ladd Observatory I worked at the Cormack Planetarium at the Museum of Natural History in Providence, RI. --mikeu 14:33, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'll happily mentor Mike, if there are no objections :). --SB_Johnny | talk 14:43, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I accept SB_Johnny as mentor.--mikeu 12:13, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've watched some of Mike's selfless concerns with maintaining the integrity of Wikiversity, and I feel this is a strong candidacy. (To be honest, I had thought of nominating him myself, but I thought he didn't want it.) --McCormack 15:36, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
