  1. Basic, 2-level heading structure - could benefit from further development, paying particular attention to theory and research.
  2. Sections which include sub-sections should also include an overview paragraph (which doesn't need a separate heading) before branching into the sub-headings.
  3. Avoid providing too much background information. Briefly summarise generic concepts and provide internal wiki links to further information. Then focus most of the content on directly answering the core question(s) posed by the chapter sub-title.

FYI, the convention on Wikiversity is for lower-cased headings (or sentence casing). For example, use:

  1. Some general motivation theory is usefully applied to understanding union membership, but there is a lack of use of more specific literature on the topic.
  2. Did you consult Festinger (1957)? If not, this should be a secondary citation.
  1. Overall, this chapter makes basic use of relevant research.
  2. When describing important research findings, consider including a bit more detail about the methodology and indicate the size of effects in addition to whether or not there was an effect or relationship.
  3. Greater emphasis on major reviews and/or meta-analyses would be helpful.
  1. Written expression
    1. Use third person perspective rather than first person (e.g., "we") or second person (e.g., "you") perspective.
    2. The chapter benefited from a well developed Overview, including the case study. The Overview could be improved by adding focus questions.
    3. Internationalise: Write for an international, not just a domestic audience. Australians make up only 0.32% of the world human population.
    4. Some paragraphs are overly long. Each paragraph should communicate one key idea in three to five sentences.

    1. Use bullet-points and numbered lists, per Tutorial 1.
    2. Most of the "See also" links need to be moved to "External links". And they need to be culled down to those that are most relevant to the topic. Then in "See also", provide links to the Wikipedia articles and/or other book chapters about these general topics.
    3. Basic use of interwiki links to Wikipedia articles. Adding interwiki links for the first mention of key words would make the text more interactive.
    4. No use of embedded links to related book chapters. Embedding interwiki links links to related book chapters helps to integrate this chapter into the broader book project.

    1. The grammar for some sentences could be improved (e.g., see the [grammar?] tags).

  1. Overall, this is a basic presentation.
  2. This presentation uses simple tools.
  3. The presentation is over the maximum time limit - content beyond 3 mins is ignored for marking purposes.
  1. Add and narrate a Title slide, to help the viewer understanding the focus and goal of the presentation.
  2. Add and narrate an Overview slide (e.g., with focus questions), to help orientate the viewer about what will be covered.
  3. Opening example helps to engage the viewer. However, note that a lot of workers internationally do not get paid well; the presentation should address an international audience.
  4. Add a conclusion: What are the practical take-home message(s) that we can use to help improve our everyday lives?
  1. The presentation is interesting to watch and listen to.
  2. The presentation uses text and image based slides with narrated audio and animations.
  3. Well paced.
  4. The font size is sufficiently large to make it easy to read.
  5. The visual communication is effectively supplemented by images.
