Chapter Feedback
[edit source]Hi Caroline, can't remember how far you said you were through the research so not sure if you'll already have all this, but thought I'd throw a couple references your way. Hope that's ok! ABC News has an article up about meditation that I've grabbed these references from, but thought there might be some more if you want to check it out: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-08-22/meditation-how-it-affects-the-brain-to-help-you-stress-less/10148158 The references I grabbed off there are: Effects of yoga on mental and physical health: A short summary of reviews (2012). Bussing, Michalsen, Khalsa, Telles, & Sherman; and a meta-analysis of mindfulness techniques and their effect: Mindfulness mediates the physiological markers of stress: systematic review and meta-analysis (2017). Pascoe, Thompson, Jenkins, & Ski. Hope that's helpful in some way and I'm not just repeating what you've got. Good luck with it! Cheers, Dot--Foley.d (discuss • contribs) 01:53, 23 August 2018 (UTC)
Article suggestion and minor edit
[edit source]Hi there, this chapter looks super interesting! I added the APA style caption to your image :) I also found this article that talks about yoga and mood disorders, I thought it might be helpful to your work https://www-tandfonline-com.ezproxy.canberra.edu.au/doi/abs/10.1586/ern.11.77 good luck with the chapter! --U3160212 (discuss • contribs) 02:33, 5 October 2018 (UTC)
Suggestion
[edit source]Wow, what an interesting and unique topic! A suggestion that you may or may not have considered could be biological processes that occur whilst doing yoga, such as changes within the brain? Here is an article I found in regards to this: http://science.sciencemag.org.ezproxy.canberra.edu.au/content/358/6362/461 (if the link doesn't work, it is called 'Meditation and yoga associated with changes in the brain' by Michaela Jarvis). Otherwise, you seem to be on track, and by the looks of things, there seems to be a fair amount of research on your topic! Best of luck --Abbsu3163507 (discuss • contribs) 07:07, 18 October 2018 (UTC)
Resource suggestions
[edit source]Hi Caroline, I found a few articles from TIME that could be useful as external links and general information for you topic: "It's Official: Yoga Helps Depression" and "Yoga Helps Older Adults Battle Depression and Anxiety." And a TEDx Talk about the psychological benefits of yoga that has a few references to mood disorders. And finally a systematic review which established a strong effect for a yoga intervention for reducing depression: https://doi.org/10.1080/13607863.2014.997191. Cheers! --U3122470 (discuss • contribs) 08:20, 18 October 2018 (UTC)
Heading casing
[edit source]FYI, the convention on Wikiversity is for lower-cased headings. For example, use:
==Cats and dogs== |

Possible Theory
[edit source]Hi Caroline
an interesting theory that you could possibly look up could be Flow Theory by Csikszentmihalyi where talks about the effortlessness one feels when enjoying an activity
