Authors response[edit source]

Hey u3122707! Thanks for spending the time doing that. I really appreciate it! :-)

Hey Simon, I've added a wiki table and numbered list to break up the text a little, feel free to 'undo' if doesn't suit! With your word count issues, I suggest focusing on the your chapter subtitle when working out where to chop....tricky though - everything you have is relevant and interesting! Rely on wiki-links where you can. Another option is to create a subpage (like an appendix). Could work for the foundational theories section perhaps? All the best, looks like you are nearly there! --u3122707 (discusscontribs) 21:45, 30 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Authors response[edit source]

Hey Sonia. Thanks for that. Great ideas, especially the table. Much appreciated!

Wikipedia links[edit source]

Excellent use of Wikipedia links. The prefix in the link can be shorter i.e., w: instead of wikipedia:. Both work. Sincerely, James -- Jtneill - Talk - c 01:29, 1 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks James! :-)

Cross-Cultural Application[edit source]

Hi There!

One thing I always look into with Therapy Techniques is their cross-cultural applicability. The common issue with most therapy models is that they are often designed by males within a western culture, and cross-cultural applicability is not really looked into before a technique has become widely acclaimed and used.

I have found an article that explores the cross-cultural limitation of REBT. Especially in the modern day, Therapists are increasingly exposed to clients from different cultures, and I should think that emotions can be experienced or expressed differently between cultures, so it would be interesting to see what would be different about conducting REBT with a client from a drastically different culture.

Here is the article! Not sure if it will help or not but it's an interesting read all the same!
