Overall[edit source]

  1. Overall, this is a very basic chapter.
  2. For additional feedback, see these copyedits.

Theory[edit source]

  1. Basic theory is described. There is not much depth.
  2. The chapter could be improved by providing more examples.

Research[edit source]

  1. Basic descriptions of a few relevant research sources are provided.
  2. When describing important research findings, indicate the size of effects in addition to whether or not there was an effect or relationship.
  3. Greater emphasis on major reviews and meta-analyses would be helpful.
  4. Some statements were unreferenced - see the [factual?] tags

Written expression[edit source]

  1. Written expression
    1. Avoid directional referencing e.g., "As previously mentioned"
    2. What are the practical, take-home messages?
  2. Layout
    1. Sections which include sub-sections should also include an introductory paragraph (which doesn't need a separate heading) before branching into the sub-headings.
  3. Learning features
    1. Interwiki links are well used.
    2. Adding interwiki links would make the text more interactive.

Multimedia feedback

The accompanying multimedia presentation has been marked according to the marking criteria. Marks are available via the unit's Moodle site. Written feedback is provided below, plus see the general feedback page. Responses to this feedback can be made by starting a new section below. If you would like further clarification about the marking or feedback, contact the unit convener.

Overall[edit source]

  1. Overall, this is an effective presentation.

Structure and content[edit source]

  1. Well selected and structured content
  2. Pride is clearly conceptualised
  3. Perhaps add more examples
  4. I wasn't so convinced about the content on "how does pride improve our lives" - seems a bit complicated/tangential
  5. Citations?

Communication[edit source]

  1. Clearly narrated audio
  2. Slides were text-based, but relatively straightforward to read - some of the more detailed slides probably had too much to comfortably read and listen at the same time
  3. Consider including more images

Production quality[edit source]

  1. Basic, but effective production
  2. Font type a bit tricky to read, especially on a small screen/small font size
  3. Video title is very generic: "Pride" which wouldn't be particularly helpful when searching - include the title and subtitle
