Requesting curatorship so that I may make uncontroversial "housekeeping" deletions. These are deletions that qualify as "speedy" as defined at wv:Deletions#Speedy. Anything more than that that I think should be deleted will go straight to wv:RFD. I promise not to delete the main page :) —guywan (talk • contribs) 19:07, 18 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

[edit source]- Oppose At this point, I must oppose this nomination. Guywan has not demonstrated themselves to be "uncontroversial", so there is no basis at this point to accept them at their word. I recommend that more time be given for Guywan to work with the community to demonstrate collaboration and a more thorough understanding and acceptance of Wikiversity culture before pursuing curatorship. -- Dave Braunschweig (discuss • contribs) 19:29, 18 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Guywan has not demonstrated themselves to be "uncontroversial" ...
Really? Have I commited vandalism? Edit-warred? Conducted myself in a manner unbecoming a participant in this project? I am sorry that my integrity offends you, but we must put personal matters aside.... thorough understanding and acceptance of Wikiversity culture ...
One does not need to understand the culture of a blacksmith to wield a hammer. My record speaks for itself. I am capable and commited. There are not enough active users on this project. The community you speak of is almost nonexistent. You would turn down a helping hand? —guywan (talk • contribs) 22:56, 18 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
- From my perspective, your approach has been intentionally disruptive, and your recent edits are bordering on harassment. Yes, that is a manner unbecoming a participant in this project. I repeat, I recommend that more time be given for you to work with the community to demonstrate collaboration and a more thorough understanding and acceptance of Wikiversity culture. -- Dave Braunschweig (discuss • contribs) 00:30, 19 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
- @Dave Braunschweig:
... your recent edits are bordering on harassment.
I wish you would use diffs when making such claims. A user such as yourself should not stoop to the level of ad hominem. Time. Very well. I withdraw this request for curatorship. You may close it. —guywan (talk • contribs) 13:06, 19 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

- Oppose Trust of the community comes from constructive participation in collaborative work, supporting other community members in their authoring of content and in guidance of members in understanding the Wikiversity culture. --Bert Niehaus (discuss • contribs) 06:12, 1 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
