Comments[edit source]

Hi, Thought I might contribute to your book chapter by suggesting that one way of achieving job satisfaction is by fulfilling the psychological need to 'achieve.' Maslow describes this in his motivational Hierarchy of Needs Model as 'Esteem needs' which are feelings of accomplishments in one's life of a job well done.

Regards, and I wish you all the best in the development of your book chapter of your chosen topic. --U3151962 (discusscontribs) 17:15, 14 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I came across an image that I thought will look great on your page. File:Backofficeimage.jpg. Your page is coming along nicely. All the best with it.--U3162449 (discusscontribs) 09:04, 14 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, Understand it's late and you may already be ready to submit your chapter. Was just looking over what you were doing, and think it would be a really cool space to discuss how a job that satisfies psychological needs could influence job satisfaction. Looking at another chapter, I would also recommend checking out the 'Psychological flexibility' chapter and how this could contribute to job satisfaction.

Good luck! --Joshgrain (discusscontribs) 06:04, 19 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Title and sub-title[edit source]

  1. Excellent

User page[edit source]

  1. Nothing added

Social contribution[edit source]

  1. One summarised with link to evidence

Section headings[edit source]

  1. Overly detailed 2-level heading structure - this plan is almost at the maximum word limit for the chapter. Rationalise which parts best address the question (e.g., probably don't need a section dedicated to measurement).
  2. Sections which include sub-sections should also include an overview paragraph (which doesn't need a separate heading) before branching into the sub-headings.

Key points[edit source]

  1. Overview - Consider adding focus questions
  2. Remove generic template content
  3. Avoid starting too many sentences with author names - better to present citations at the end of the sentence.
  4. Strive to integrate theories with factors.
  5. Include in-text interwiki links for the first mention of key terms to relevant Wikipedia articles.
  6. Consider including more examples/case studies.
  7. Consider embedding one quiz question per major section rather than having one longer quiz towards the end.

Image[edit source]

  1. Provided
  2. Add APA style caption
  3. Cite each figure at least once in the main text.

References[edit source]

  1. Good.
  2. For full APA style:
    1. Use correct capitalisation
    2. Use correct italicisation
    3. Use the new recommended format for dois - http://blog.apastyle.org/apastyle/2014/07/how-to-use-the-new-doi-format-in-apa-style.html
    4. Do not include issue numbers for journals which are continuously numbered within a volume

Multimedia feedback

The accompanying multimedia presentation has been marked according to the marking criteria. Marks are available via the unit's Canvas site. Written feedback is provided below, plus see the general feedback page. Responses to this feedback can be made by starting a new section below. If you would like further clarification about the marking or feedback, contact the unit convener.

Overall[edit source]

  1. Overall, this is an insufficient presentation.
  2. This presentation makes use of simple tools.

Structure and content[edit source]

  1. There is too much content, in too much detail, presented within the allocated time frame. Zoom out and provide a higher-level presentation at a slower pace. It is best to do a small amount well than a large amount poorly.
  2. Add and narrate an Overview slide (e.g., with focus questions), to help orientate the viewer about what will be covered.
  3. The presentation could be strengthened by adding a Conclusion slide with practical, take-home messages.
  4. Consider including some examples.

Communication[edit source]

  1. Slow down and leaving longer pauses between sentences. This can help the viewer to cognitively digest the information that has just been presented before moving on to the next point.
  2. Some of the font size should be larger to make it easier to read.
  3. The visual communication could be improved by including some relevant images.

Production quality[edit source]

  1. Communicate the chapter title and sub-title in both the video title and on the opening slide this helps to clearly convey the purpose of the presentation.
  2. Audio recording quality was mediocre - it faded in and out, was cut short at the end, and included background noise. An on board microphone was probably used. Consider using an external microphone.
  3. Video recording quality was basic.
  4. A copyright license for the presentation is not provided.
  5. A link to the book chapter is not provided.
  6. A link from the book chapter is provided.
  7. A written description of the presentation is provided.
