Heading casing[edit source]

FYI, the convention on Wikiversity is for lower-cased headings (or sentence casing). For example, use:

  1. Overall, this is a reasonably useful chapter which overviews several motivational theories in relation to entrepreneurship.
  1. The chapter could benefit from further development of the Conclusion, which is somewhat vague and doesn't really address the the focus questions.

Theory[edit source]

  1. Several relevant theories are described. Perhaps the chapter could be strengthened by using fewer theories in more depth.

Research[edit source]

  1. Some relevant research is discussed in relation to theory. This could be more indepth.
  1. The case studies are based on research studies, which adds depth. However, this means that there are no case studies of real world examples (e.g., entrepreneurship stories of success and failure which illustrate theories in action).
  1. When describing important research findings, consider including a bit more detail about the methodology and indicate the size of effects in addition to whether or not there was an effect or relationship.
  2. Greater emphasis on major reviews and/or meta-analyses would be helpful.
  3. Some claims are unreferenced (e.g., see the [factual?] tags).

    1. Overall, the quality of written expression is good.
    2. Internationalise: Write for an international, not just a domestic audience (e.g., see External links).
    3. Obtaining (earlier) comments on a chapter plan and/or chapter draft could have helped to improve the chapter.

    1. Sections which include sub-sections should also include an introductory paragraph (which doesn't need a separate heading) before branching into the sub-headings.

    1. No use of embedded interwiki links to Wikipedia articles. Adding interwiki links for the first mention of key words and technical concepts would make the text more interactive.

    3. Very good use of images.
    4. No use of tables.
    5. Basic use of feature boxes.
    6. Good use of quizzes.

    1. Use serial commas[1] - it is part of APA style and generally recommended by grammaticists.

      1. A serial comma is needed before "&" or "and" for citations involving three or more authors.

      1. Check and correct use of capitalisation.

  1. Note that an entrepreneur doesn't necessarily start a "business" (e.g., social entrepreneurs). So, motives may also include social and/or environmental goals, not just self-benefit.

  3. The presentation could be strengthened by adding a Conclusion slide with practical, take-home messages.

  1. The presentation is easy to follow, and interesting to watch and listen to.

  3. The font size is sufficiently large to make it easy to read.
  4. The visual communication is effectively supplemented by images.
