I do like how you have got clear headings and it all looks like it will run smoothly, I do think using current issues such as Tom Kelly's death in Sydney last year and the impact of his parents campaign is worth looking at just to link it back to current issue, but all looks great! good luck U3097561 (discusscontribs) 13:06, 6 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with the above comment, an interesting topic and well thought out headings and subheadings. As a suggestion you could talk about the introduction of lock out laws as a means to reduce alcohol related aggression and violence. This article discusses the approach taken in South Australia. Good Luck! Giancaspro, Mark. Late night lockout laws: Evaluating responses to alcohol-fuelled violence [online]. Alternative Law Journal, Vol. 40, No. 2, June 2015: 118-122. Hey there - really great chapter and an interesting topic! Just a heads up with APA formatting for figures and tables - Images should be labelled 'Figure 1' and tables should be labelled 'Table 1'. --Sgerstenberg (discusscontribs) 20:46, 22 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hey! Just a bit of feedback regarding your chapter - I really liked the general layout of your page, its engaging and easy to read. I also liked how you incorporated the case study throughout which made it easy to link the theory you were talking about to a practical example. As you have chosen such a topical issue, I agree with the others in that your chapter would really benefit from including a couple of real life incidents of alchohol fuelled violence (you could even start your chapter with a couple of cases to really engage the reader and draw them into the topic). One last minor thing - I noticed that you say that men are more likely to be agressive than women. While this is most likely the case, I think that this is quite a big statement to make and you may need more than just one reference to back it up (just a suggestion though!) --u3105740 (discusscontribs) 22:53, 22 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hey! Great book chapter! I think its fantastic how you have included a 'practical application' highlighted in green throughout the chapter. It really reiterates the theory and makes it far more interesting than reading theory after theory without knowing how it really applies. The only minor suggestion I could make is to add an 'External links' section down the bottom of your chapter. I have noticed you have plenty of internal 'See also' links, but I think adding just a few External links would strengthen the overall quality of your chapter. Well done and good luck! Overall[edit source]

  1. Overall, this is an excellent chapter which makes effective use of the wiki environment, addresses the book theme, and provides an integrated, indepth, but very readable synthesis of psychological theory and research on the topic.
  2. For more feedback see these copyedits and the comments below.

Theory[edit source]

  1. Theory is comprehensively covered, with examples, and integrated with research.

Research[edit source]

  1. Research is well cited.
  2. When describing important research studies, provide some indication of the nature of the sample and possibly cultural context.
  3. When discussing important research findings, indicate the size of effects in addition to whether or not there was an effect or relationship.

Written expression[edit source]

  1. Written expression is generally excellent.
    1. Avoid one sentence paragraphs. A paragraph should typically consist of three to five sentences.
  2. Layout is excellent.
  3. External links need unique labelling.
  4. Learning features are excellent.
  5. Spelling
    1. Use Australian spelling (e.g., hypothesize -> hypothesise).
  6. APA style
    1. Check and correct the use of "&" vs. "and" (Use ampersand (&) inside brackets and "and" outside brackets).

Multimedia feedback

The accompanying multimedia presentation has been marked according to the marking criteria. Marks are available via the unit's Moodle site. Written feedback is provided below, plus see the general feedback page. Responses to this feedback can be made by starting a new section below. If you would like further clarification about the marking or feedback, contact the unit convener.

Overall[edit source]

  1. Overall, this is a basic, but sufficient presentation.

Structure and content[edit source]

  1. Consider the role of alcohol dosage in aggression.
  2. Address an international audience (there is nothing particularly Australian about the topic, so whilst an Australian example is fine, be wary of making the presentation overly-specific to a single nation).
  3. Include citations and references.
  4. What is referred to as sexual differences probably should be referred to as gender differences.
  5. Helpful examples.

Communication[edit source]

  1. Audio is too fast to easily comprehend - consider slowing down. Take longer pauses between slides.
  2. Visuals are clear and easy to read.

Production quality[edit source]

  1. Rename the title so that it is more descriptive (e.g., include the subtitle).
  2. The clickable link to the chapter doesn't seem to work?
  3. Fill out the description field with more detail (e.g., brief description of presentation, link back to the book chapter, license details).
  4. Great job on using public domain images and providing the attributions and access details.
  5. A copyright license for the presentation is not indicated (i.e., in the description or in the presentation slides).
  6. No link is provided back to the book chapter.
