I will be interested to see where you take this book chapter as I am doing Nicotine and Emotion. I wonder if they share similar effectual properties? If I come across anything interesting I'll be sure to send it your way ;) Best of luck! PatrickBateman (discusscontribs) 02:28, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I have just finished doing a lit review on alcohol and personality. There has been a variety of studies linking the onset of alcohol use disorder to negative emotionality. Here are some references which I found quite useful.

I hope they help! Good luck :) --Janed1987 (discusscontribs) 09:52, 26 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! Just wondering if alcohol always has a negative effect on emotion and whether or not there could possibly be a positive effect on emotion? Just a though :) Good luck! Pheonix (discusscontribs) 11:49, 15 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, not sure where you are planning on taking this but i think it would be interesting to have a look into the specific mechanisms that underlie the reinforcing effects of drinking, if you are interested in looking in to this as well below is a good reference. I look forward to see where you take this.

Hey have you considered looking into Korsakoff's syndrome and Wernicke's encephalopathy which is alcohol related dementia and i know there is a correlation between dementia and emotion etc. maybe you culd link it to your chapter somehow.Thosecows (discusscontribs) 03:51, 2 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Finished!![edit source]

Hi Jodie! Great looking chapter you have finished here! I really enjoyed reading it! I really like that example of the bridesmaids you used, I think it is a very good example of how quickly things change after one incident, especially when alcohol is involved!! Hope Little Burra is treating you well!! :) TomMarvoloRiddle (discusscontribs) 00:06, 6 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

u3054871's feedback[edit source]

Hey! I was thinking that your chapter could definitely benefit from a case study or example of a person (or more than one) who does/does not binge drink and the effects that that could have on various aspects of their life - perhaps even a university student as I'm sure your topic is quite applicable to a lot of us. I added psychological effects of alcohol to the physiological effects as it's quite important too. I also started that paragraph off for you and added a reference. Good luck Jodie, from Enya :)

Overall[edit source]

This is a really well presented chapter, which covers the topic very nicely. Well done!

Theory[edit source]

Theories are well chosen and described. A sound understanding of the concepts put forward is displayed. Practical application is explored in sections, but this could be expanded upon. Also, try to include some evidence of critical thinking.

Research[edit source]

Some interesting research is put forward in this chapter. Well done for linking research and theory! To improve further, report important studies in greater detail. Once again, critical evaluation of the literature will also improve the chapter.

Written expression[edit source]

Beautifully presented! The strucutre and inclusion of interactive features throughout are both great. APA is generally well done. To improve further, include some more links throughout.ShaunaB (discusscontribs)

Overall[edit source]

Structure and content[edit source]

Theory and research are very nicely integrated throughout. Key concepts have been chosen nicely. The flow and structure of the presentation are both good, and enable a large amount of information to be presented without appearing rushed.

Communication[edit source]

Verbal communication is clear, confident and engaging. The visuals created using Prezi are nicely done, however the colour of the text (green/blue) is difficult to see on the black background. To improve further include some illustrative examples.

Production quality[edit source]

Picture and sound quality are both good. The presentation comes across as very professional. ShaunaB (discusscontribs)
