  • This resources uses, openstax Physics, an open source textbook available for free at http://cnx.org/content/col11406/1.7) It is designed for an algebra based course, but I have included instructional materials that permit this to be used in either algebra or calculus based first-year college physics courses (semesters I and II).

To whom it may concern:

I have been using this resource for three semesters and have noticed a considerable improvement, both from my perspective, and in the view of students (i.e. evaluations). Keep in mind that this resource has not been carefully assessed, and also that the leap in quality of the courses might have more to do with the idiosyncrasies of an absent minded and disorganized professor than with the quality of this resource. And the resource is still "rough around the corners". In particular we need to nearly double the number of wikiquizzes. And, the resource won't be completely polished until it becomes separate calculus and algebra based courses. At the moment I am using it for both; it seems to be doing better in the calculus based resource. --guyvan52 (discusscontribs) 13:25, 11 December 2014 (UTC)
