Comment: Hi, I would also be interested in motivations for plastic surgery in circumstances where there is no physiological 'need'. Burns victims and birth defects are both areas where plastic surgery allows people to live 'normal' lives, what about things like breast augmentation and 'nose jobs'. These types of surgeries are growing in popularity and more people are choosing these options. If you wanted to keep the focus on helping people maintain a normal lifestyle rather than enhancement surgery you could also include breast cancer victims who have had a mastectomy. Comment: Really nice so far! I think you have given some really interesting info on theoretical knowledge and how it relates to your topic. The only thing I found a little confusing was all the use of different coloured text boxes everywhere which I couldn't see much of a pattern to (although they are pretty!). Comment Hi there, I think you have done a fantastic job. One little thing you could include in the emotional impact section is the loss of self identity and self perception/image that comes with difficult physiological changes such as mastectomy, loss of hair etc. It really fundamentally changes the way victims see themselves and can cause extremely low self-esteem and loss of identity. It also dips into hormonal changes in the mother and what effect that may have on her harming the baby.
