Comments[edit source]

Hi! It might be useful to refer to the treatment of infanticide within the law. The following source is the Crimes Act for infanticide in NSW: http://www.austlii.edu.au/au/legis/nsw/consol_act/ca190082/s22a.html --U3082322 (discusscontribs) 23:24, 16 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I am doing Filicide motivation so if you are interested in seeing what I have done here is the link to my book chapter https://en.wikiversity.org/wiki/Motivation_and_emotion/Book/2015/Filicide_motivation I have found it useful to include specific cases in order to display each type of filicide motivation in a real-life scenario. http://web.a.ebscohost.com.ezproxy.canberra.edu.au/ehost/pdfviewer/pdfviewer?sid=af5e80fb-d485-4a1e-9bfd-1c418a029f42%40sessionmgr4003&vid=6&hid=4106 This is a good article which covers some of the laws around infanticide and neonaticide and whether they are 'fair' or not. It also dips into hormonal changes in the mother and what effect that may have on her harming the baby. Good luck! Tigeralee (discusscontribs) 06:16, 20 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Heading casing[edit source]

FYI, the convention on Wikiversity is for lower-cased headings. For example, use:

==Cats and dogs==

rather than

==Cats and Dogs==

Theory[edit source]

  1. Theory is well explored and applied to the topic.
  2. The case studies were helpful.

Research[edit source]

  1. Research is well described and integrated with theory.
  2. When describing important research studies, provide some indication of the nature of the sample and possibly cultural context.
  3. When discussing important research findings, indicate the size of effects in addition to whether or not there was an effect or relationship.

Multimedia feedback

The accompanying multimedia presentation has been marked according to the marking criteria. Marks are available via the unit's Moodle site. Written feedback is provided below, plus see the general feedback page. Responses to this feedback can be made by starting a new section below. If you would like further clarification about the marking or feedback, contact the unit convener.

Overall[edit source]

  1. Overall, this is a basic, but sufficient presentation.

Structure and content[edit source]

  1. The main problem with the structure/content is that the presentation focuses on two aspects of the broader topic, and thus doesn't succeed in providing a 3 min overview of the topic and what psychological theory and research indicates about the topic (e.g., before discussing altruistic killing and evolutionary theory, give an overview of the prevalence and major motivation explanations).
  2. Include citations with evidence for claims.
  3. Consider including a Title slide and Conclusion slide summarising the take-home messages.

Communication[edit source]

  1. Audio is clear and well-paced.
  2. Varied intonation adds interest and engagement.
  3. Video of presenter enhances engagement, but it also means that some potentially useful text- or diagram-based information isn't presented.

Production quality[edit source]

  1. I loved the way the book chapter and extra info links were presented - but they are not clickable?
  2. Rename the title so that it includes the subtitle (and matches the book chapter).
  3. Description is minimal (e.g., also include brief description of presentation, link back to the book chapter, license details, and/or transcript).
  4. A copyright license for the presentation is not indicated (i.e., in the description or in the presentation slides).
