  • Would look more at home at WikiJHum? Sylvain Ribault (discusscontribs) 20:16, 20 September 2019 (UTC)
  • has not given any info on professional experience, publishing and wiki; open, if any. I suggest the applicant gives us some detail please. I will vote after this. Cheers Scott Thomson (Faendalimas) talk 16:03, 21 September 2019 (UTC)
  • Symbol support vote.svg Support as Editorial board member. Great experience with open science. As I understand it, the point of this applicant is to help shape the journal, not to do editorial work on specific articles. (No expertise in relevant disciplines.) We do not have an advisory board, so this is the role of an editorial board member, but probably not of an associate editor. Sylvain Ribault (discusscontribs) 07:38, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
  • Symbol support vote.svg Support thank you for the further information. I now support and also agree that Editor Board is a good idea for this applicant. Cheers Scott Thomson (Faendalimas) talk 15:58, 18 October 2019 (UTC)

  • Seems to have a reasonable citation rate and clearly has some experiance with publishing based on Google Scholar. I would imagine that in a 20 odd year professional career this has included much reviewing as the candidate states. Cross-wiki check shows 13 edits across all wikis, so has not done much on Wikimedia however that is not necessary.
    I will tentatively support.
Cheers Scott Thomson (Faendalimas) talk 00:51, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
    • Symbol oppose vote.svg Oppose on further thought Editorial Board I cannot support at this time, maybe for Associate Editor, but not Board. Cheers Scott Thomson (Faendalimas) talk 18:45, 18 October 2019 (UTC)
  • Symbol oppose vote.svg Oppose for now. Nothing really open in the "open" expericence apparently. The applicant could prove me wrong by giving more details, and links to his openly available contributions. Failing that, please consider getting some experience by contributing to Wikipedia or sister projects, blogging, publishing in this journal, etc. Sylvain Ribault (discusscontribs) 07:46, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
