Having discussed with with editorial board, we have decided to decline this submission as a desk rejection. The current manuscript is written as a loose collection of quotations from historical figures, with little focus, logic or analysis. It similarly omits recent philosophical works on the subject. If the author is attempting to write a historical review of instances in which certain kinds of dead ends were reached, it requires significant work before that is achieved. If the author is looking to prove a novel hypothesis, a far more stringent framework is also needed. It therefore doesn't meet the threshold of merit necessary for sending out for peer review.
