Heading casing[edit source]

FYI, the convention on Wikiversity is for lower-cased headings. For example, use:

  1. Overall, this is a fantastic chapter that exhibits all the hoped-for features for the book project - this is practical and applicable to everyday life and is based on psychological theory and research, well supported by examples and rich use of the wiki environment.

    1. The has a well developed Overview and Conclusion, with clear focus question(s) and take-home messages.

    2. Use in-text interwiki links, rather than external links, for the first mention of key terms to relevant Wikipedia articles.
    3. This is one of the few chapters which includes embedded, relevant links to other book chapters.
  4. APA style
    1. When there are three or more authors, cite all authors for the first citations and then subsequent citations should use et al. e.g., Smith, Bush and Western (2001) and then cite Smith et al. (2001).
    2. Direct quotes need page numbers.

  1. Overall, this is a problematic presentation in part because it goes well over the maximum time limit - content beyond 3 minutes was ignored for marking purposes.

Structure and content[edit source]

  1. Robbins isn't really a researcher - i.e., no peer-reviewed publications?
  2. So, her work can be used as an example, a starting point, but the presentation needs to draw on peer-reviewed psychological theory and research.
  3. Title slide - just focus on the topic/problem for a global audience (they don't really care where/what class the presentation was prepared as part of)
  4. The presentation could be strengthened by adding a Conclusion slide with practical, take-home messages.

Communication[edit source]

  1. Review unnecessary use of "I".
  2. Some slides contain too much text using font which is too small and not shown for long enough.

Production quality[edit source]

  1. The presentation is over the maximum time limit.
  2. Use the full chapter title and sub-title on the opening slide and in the name of the video because this helps to match the book chapter and to clearly convey the purpose of the presentation.
  3. Add acknowledgement of image sources and license - copyright may have been violated.
  4. Mixed indication of license - is it Creative Commons or a Standard Youtube license?
