Heres a reference for your page http://heb.sagepub.com/content/31/2/143.short Health Promotion by Social Cognitive Means - Bandura, 2004

Also, the negative effects of groups on weight loss http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1054139X10001461 Friendship Group Influences on Body Dissatisfaction and Dieting Among Adolescent Girls: A Prospective Study Woelders,Larsen, Scholte, Cillessen, Rutger, Engels, (2010)

It also might be interesting to talk about weight loss reality TV shows such as the biggest loser as an example of group weight loss --Arlo Porter (discusscontribs) 01:00, 5 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I thought maybe you could use examples such as group classes at gyms, like zumba (dance), or circuit class, etc as they inspire people to work harder and are all group focused? Maybe looking at advertisement on gym websites could provide some interesting ideas? Good luck!--U3083662 (discusscontribs) 11:38, 12 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi there! I found an interesting article that I think will be useful to you chapter. It's about social facilitation (or 'audience effect') as a treatment method for obesity and makes mention of the socio-ecological model which the research was based on. The article is called: Social facilitation maintenance treatment for adults with obesity: study protocol for a randomised-controlled feasibility study (SFM study) by Anja Hilbert. Hope you find this helpful, good luck! --U3117275 (discusscontribs) 11:55, 15 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hay, I noticed that you do not have much information for Goal Setting Theory. I found this article that pretty much outlines GST and the advances that have been made in GST. At least, it is an interesting read about GST. The article is New Directions in Goal-Setting Theory by Edwin A. Locke and Gary P. Latham I hope this helps --U3119480 (discusscontribs) 14:50, 18 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Interesting topic and seems to be coming together for you. I have found the AIHW has some really good health publications that you may find useful. The link is http://aihw.gov.au/risk-factors-diseases-and-death-publications/ . Hope this helps. U109993 (discusscontribs) 04:54, 18 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Key terms

[edit source]

Rather than have key terms in a separate section, I recommend defining each term, as necessary, when the term is introduced, with the internal link to a corresponding Wikipedia article.

If in doubt, check Wikipedia articles - they generally don't have a separate key terms section. -- Jtneill - Talk - c 07:19, 21 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
