Hello, Interesting topic, you did well to tackle something so broad. One big thing and one minor; you need to link your multimedia for submission, even if its just the blank template one, just copy and paste it from someone else's; the minor thing is that it's very text heavy, so a few (not very many, literally just a few) relevant images may help break through the text for the ease of the reader.

Hi, just wanted to suggest that we share links between our two book chapters. Mine is on the Zeigarnik effect which is often used in advertising to create strong memories for brand or product. THere may be a link to the purchase motivation - Will come back with a paragraph once I have finished my research :). - U943390

Hey I just wanted to give you suggestion to look at advertisement as one of the motivations. Bad advertisement leading customers away and good advertisement may encourage them. Also about sales and discounts how does that effect customers motivation to buy. All best ~Iga.leszczynska

FYI, the convention on Wikiversity is for lower-cased headings. For example, use:

  1. Overall, this is a solid chapter which could be improved by also offering a broader explanation of other psychological science which helps to explain consumer behaviour (e.g., social and cognitive perspectives) or at least better justifying the strong focus on Maslow's hierarchy of needs, advertising and sponsorship. For more feedback see these copyedits and the comments below.
  1. Better justification is needed for the selective focus on Maslow's hierarchy of needs, advertising and sponsorship, and non-explanation or mention of other perspectives.
  2. The Overview does a good job of establishing the topic is important.
  3. Examples were very helpful.
  1. Research is covered reasonably well but, as with theory, the chapter could be improved by incorporating a wider scope.
  2. When describing important research studies, provide some indication of the nature of the sample and possibly cultural context.
  3. When discussing important research findings, indicate the size of effects in addition to whether or not there was an effect or relationship.
  1. Written expression was reasonably good.
    1. Add an interwiki link to the book chapter on Maslow's hierarchy of needs
    2. Avoid one sentence paragraphs. A paragraph should typically consist of three to five sentences.
  2. Layout
    1. Add wiki bullet points (some items are pasted from a word processor without applying the wiki bullet points).
    2. The chapter is well-structured.
    3. Tables and/or Figures are used effectively. Expand image sizes.
  3. Learning features
    1. The chapter some use of interwiki links to relevant Wikipedia articles - also incorporate links to other book chapters.
    2. Interwiki links could be added (e.g., to relevant Wikipedia articles and other Wikiversity book chapters) to make the text more interactive.
    3. Quiz questions could be used to encourage reader engagement.
  4. Spelling
    1. Use Australian spelling (e.g., hypothesize -> hypothesise)
  5. Grammar and proofreading
    1. The grammar of some sentences could be improved (e.g., see the [grammar?] tags)
