Heading casing[edit source]

FYI, the convention on Wikiversity is for lower-cased headings. For example, use:

==Cats and dogs==

rather than

==Cats and Dogs==

Editing tip - Linking to Wikipedia articles[edit source]

Thank-you for your contributions to Wikiversity! I hope you don't mind being offered a Wikiversity editing tip. Links to Wikipedia article should be made as internal rather than external links. For example, [[w:Pet|pet]] creates a link like this: pet to the Wikipedia pet article. This is preferred to an external link like this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pet or pet.

I hope this helps to further empower your Wikiversity contributions! -- Jtneill - Talk - c 13:31, 27 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Multimedia feedback

The accompanying multimedia presentation has been marked according to the marking criteria. Marks are available via the unit's Moodle site. Written feedback is provided below, plus there is a general feedback page. Responses to this feedback can be made by starting a new section below. If you would like further clarification about the marking or feedback, contact the unit convener. If you wish to dispute the marks, see the suggested marking dispute process.

Overall[edit source]

This presentation provides a good description of the topic, but could be improved by delving further into the research and theory around introversion.

Structure and content[edit source]

The structure is clear, and the flow is logical. The presentation is primarily descriptive and illustrative. Theory and research are not directly referred to. This minimises the academic quality of the presentation. Are introverts really more sad than extraverts? It is stated later in the presentation that introverts just require different things to make them happy. Be mindful of information, such as this, that could come across as conflicting.

Communication[edit source]

The voice-over is well-paced (if anything, slightly too slow). Appropriate expression is used. The opening (i.e. asking questions of the audience) is particularly engaging. The slides are also very eye-catching and engaging. Images are used very well throughout.

Production quality[edit source]

Basic production tools are used really nicely. The audio and visuals are both good quality. No link to the book chapter is provided. Image source information is provided.

Chapter review and feedback

This chapter has been reviewed according to the marking criteria. Written feedback is provided below, plus there is a general feedback page. Please also check the chapter's page history to check for editing changes made whilst reviewing through the chapter. Responses to this feedback can be made by starting a new section below and/or contacting the reviewer. Chapter marks will be available later via Moodle, along with social contribution marks and feedback. Keep an eye on Announcements.

Overall[edit source]

  1. Overall, For more feedback, see my copyedits and comments below.

Theory[edit source]

  1. Theory covered was somewhat helpful, but it tended to be quite general/broad and could be improved by honing in more on the relationship between introversion and emotion.
    1. Although a trait approach to personality is described, the chapter often also uses a type approach (i.e., referring to introverts rather than introversion).
    2. It could be helpful to expand on the views of Jung and Eynsenck with regard to the relationship between introversion and emotion.

Research[edit source]

  1. Research studies pertinent to the topic could be described in more detail.
  2. When describing important research findings, indicate the size of effects in addition to whether or not there was an effect or relationship.
  3. Some statements were unreferenced - see the [factual?] tags

Written expression[edit source]

  1. Written expression is reasonably good.
    1. The Overview could be more focused on the relationship between introversion and emotion.
    2. The quality of written expression could be improved (e.g., where clarification templates have been added to the page).
  2. Layout
    1. There were no Tables and/or Figures. The uploaded images did have appropriate copyright information and were deleted.
  3. Learning features
    1. The quiz should be put into Wiki format.
    2. No external links are provided.
  4. Spelling
    1. Use Australian spelling (e.g., hypothesize -> hypothesise)
  5. Grammar and proofreading
    1. Commas are missing in many places (e.g., see my copyedits)
    2. Check and correct the use of ownership apostrophes (e.g., individuals vs. individual's vs. individuals')
  6. APA style
    1. Did you consult Guilford and Braly (1930)? If not, don't cite it.
    2. The reference list is not in full APA style.
