Extra topic for discussion[edit source]

Hiya! Just thought of an extra topic you could discuss - tackling sadness (everyday cures for sadness). Maybe some creative and easily accessible ones just as chocolate (as it encourages production of endorphins - apparently so do bananas!).

Also, perhaps a distinction between sadness and depression.

Good luck! :)

Font type[edit source]

Just stick with the default font (rather than Times New Roman). This aspect of APA won't be enforced. -- Jtneill - Talk - c 02:46, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Heading casing[edit source]

FYI, the convention on Wikiversity is for lower-cased headings. For example, use:

==Cats and dogs==

rather than

==Cats and Dogs==

Thank you for the advice. I will make changes to my pictures.

Hi there, I looked at what assistance animals offer people and reviewed this article on patients in psychiatric wards. They report a reduction in sadness and feeling more joyful as well as laughing more. Have a look! Villalta, V., Roca, M., Gonzalez, N., Domenec, E., Escanilla, A., Rosa Asensio, M., Esteban, M. Overall[edit source]

A nicely presented chapter with some really interesting information - nice job! There is so much information out there on sadness and this is reflected in this chapter. Overall, it could be improved by chosing a particular area of sadness on which to focus.

Theory[edit source]

Theories have been well identified and the descriptions demonstrate a sound level of understanding. As stated above, I would recommend shifting the focus to just a few to enable a more in-depth exploration. Well done for practically applying the concepts.

Research[edit source]

Some really interesting and useful research is presented in a way that is appropriate for the target audience. To improve further, include some evidence of critical evaluation throughout.

Written expression[edit source]

This chapter is really nicely presented, and follows a logical structure. The inclusion of the quiz is great. Remember to reference all ideas taken from the literature, and also include page numbers when referring to direct quotes. A final proof read would be beneficial, as there are some errors throughout. Overall[edit source]

Overall, this is a thought provoking presentation, however the content of the chapter needs to be explored more thoroughly.

Structure and content[edit source]

Theory and research are touched on in this presentation, but should be explored more thoroughly. The theoretical and resaerch content lacks flow and structure. Information presented is of an academic quality.

Communication[edit source]

The music and pictures used really portray the feeling of sadness. This aspect of the presentation is engaging. Communication through voice is quite clear, but not enough depth is provided. Some illustrative examples are included. Please note that the time limit of 5 minutes has been exceeded.

Production quality[edit source]

Picture quality is good. Sound quality of music is good, however sound quality of voice could be improved. There is evidence of preparation and rehearsal in this presentation. ShaunaB (discusscontribs)
