Hey! found a pretty interesting reference on nightmares (says they may occur as a result of failed emotion regulation) here's a link: http://dreamscience.ca/en/documents/publications/_2009_Nielsen_Levin_CDPS_18_84-88_NM%20emotion%20dysregulation.pdf Also found a reference that talks about dreaming of significant others and how emotion linked dreams can effect subsequent interactions, here's a link: http://spp.sagepub.com.ezproxy1.canberra.edu.au/content/early/2013/05/01/1948550613486678.full.pdf+html Thegrounav (discusscontribs) 00:08, 7 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

HI:) I've found a really good online book to help you with topic areas and starting references about Dreams! I think it would be good if you spoke about the different types of dreams at one point, for example traumatic dreams, recurrent dreams, typical dreams, repetitive dream themes, repeated dream elements, dreaming & waking. Hope this helps Heres the link: Online book: Finding Meaning in Dreams Verity Foster-Greenwood (discusscontribs) 15 October 2013

Hey have a look at this:

Hey! Thanks for your feedback on my page :) Yours is looking great so far too! You've done well to link in how emotions relate to dreams. I was worried there would be some overlap between our pages but we've both managed to cover quite different aspects of dreaming - I'll make sure to put a link on my chapter to your chapter. :) Thanks again and good luck with the final editing process! We should both be able to find some exciting dream-related pictures to make our pages look great :P Kellieadellie (discusscontribs) 04:25, 3 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hey! Really enjoyed reading your chapter so far. Found it particularly interesting reading about the content of dreams for the blind population. Have you considered including some information on people who cant recall dreaming? From what I have read so far, it doesn't appear to do any damage to mental or physical health. Might just be something to look at if you are looking for extra content, here is an article that might add to it if you are interested.

Heading casing

[edit source]
FYI, the convention on Wikiversity is for lower-cased headings. For example, use:

==Cats and dogs==

rather than

==Cats and Dogs==

Overall

[edit source]

This is a nicely presented chapter that can be improved by working on the flow. Overall, good job.

Theory is well identified - a chapter on dreams without Freud would just not be right! Well done for including the alternate theory of Jung. A more in-depth exploration of this theory would be beneficial. Also, the large amount of concepts presented in dot point form was overwhelming for the reader. Try to include less concepts and write more frequently in paragraph form.

While some good research is presented, this is an area for improvement. Refering more to specific studies would be useful.

Nicely presented chapter! Well done for including links throughout. Remember to introduce topics before discussing them e.g. thin versus think boundaries. There are some grammatical errors throughout e.g. full stops should be placed after the in-text citation, not before. ShaunaB (discusscontribs)

Overall

[edit source]

Overall, this is a good summary of chapter content, which could be improved by working to make it more engaging.

Theory is well integrated throughout. The flow between concepts was abrupt at times - this is an area for improvement. Information presented is of academic quality and appears to be accurate.

Information is communicated clearly through voice and image. Dialoge is very slow, which made the presentation less engaging. Illustrative examples would improve the presentation.

Picture quality is good. Sound quality could be slightly improved. The presentation appeared well prepared and was delivered quite professionally. ShaunaB (discusscontribs)
