Overall[edit source]

  1. Overall, this is a strong CR-level textbook chapter. It demonstrates a very good understanding of Dementia and applies the discussion of Dementia to the topic of motivation in an interesting and informative way. Images, case studies and a quiz are effective learning aids. The main areas for improvement are in utilising more primary peer-reviewed sources (it was good to see government websites used and these are good for general information, but it would have been desirable to see greater use of primary, peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. The written expression was generally good, but see some suggestions below.

Theory[edit source]

Research[edit source]

  1. When describing important research findings, try to indicate the size of effects rather than simply whether or not there was an effect or relationship.

Written expression[edit source]

  1. Written expression
    1. Avoid one sentence paragraphs. A paragraph should typically consist of three to five sentences.

Overview[edit source]

  1. Wow - I am blown away. This is an outstanding presentation. What a fabulous interview this is, covering so many key points from the chapter is such a engaging way, woven with quotes from research. The post-production and editing etc. is also excellent, but its the story and design which really works. Other than adding a statement about licensing, I think this is an exemplar presentation.
