Wiki2Reveal

[edit source]

This course will be used as example to convert mathematical content in Wiki2Reveal slides that can be used in lecture in Algebra. It shows the basic principle of Wiki2Reveal. The history of the page indicated that there is interest in creating a learning resource or content about that topic in algebra. So add more learning tasks for students if you like. Keep in mind, that sections should be kept small in size so that the content of a section or subsection fits on a single slide.

  • Try the current version of the Wiki2Reveal slides and identify changes that you want to make for better use in lectures in seminars, that meets your requirements.
  • Instead of creating the Wiki2Reveal learning resource in one shot for Wikiversity the transformation will be performed in steps,
  • the main steps will be referenced with permanent links, so that other authors can transparently see how the conversion from Wikipedia "inverse limit" into a learning resource about "inverse limit" was performed.
  • Feel free to adapt the Wiki2Reveal presentation in a way so that it can be used for your lectures and seminars or as a learning resource for students that explain the inverse limit with Wiki2Reveal-slides in seminars.

Transformation Steps

[edit source]
  • Version 1 Application of Wikipedia2Wikiversity
  • Version 2 Wiki2Reveal footer and header added, so that learners and lecturers can start the Wiki2Reveal presentation directy from the learning resource.
  • Version 3 Example Learning Task added - please add tasks for students to this section
  • Version 4 Segmentation into slides that fits on Wiki2Reveal presentation is finished (check Wiki2Reveal slides for Inverse Limit) if you change the content.
