Move to English 101[edit source]

The content on this page is resource content about the English language rather than Wikiversity content on a school of English. The page should be moved to English 101, Introduction to English, or something similar. Then, a School:English could be created if there is support for this. -- Dave Braunschweig (discusscontribs) 14:51, 15 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with the move of this page to English 101, Introduction to English, or something similar and the continuance/creation of School:English, if so agreed upon. Also, under the School:Language and Literature is the department/topic Topic:English Language which could include English 101, Introduction to English, or something similar. All or most of the "Foreign languages" are learning departments under this latter school. It may not be necessary to have English as its own school. --Marshallsumter (discusscontribs) 19:58, 15 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
In reviewing some of the comments about other courses where numbers are used, e.g., English 101, there is concern that using these numbers may not connote as much to potential students, teachers, and contributors as, say, Introduction to English, or Elements of English. --Marshallsumter (discusscontribs) 19:37, 18 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
And in considering search results, I'd now recommend English Introduction or English Language. Content about English is easier to find starting with the word English. -- Dave Braunschweig (discusscontribs) 19:57, 18 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I like English introduction. --Marshallsumter (discusscontribs) 12:14, 19 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Comment (Fully aware that this is old, but to get caught up with all the "propose to move", might as well finish the "dips") Let's give the page a move, per discussion. ---Atcovi (Talk - Contribs) 01:44, 23 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
