No relevant learning content[edit source]

Hi, I can see there has been some "discussion" in the history comments. I can't see any relevant content that fulfill Wikiversity's mission. My suggestion is therefore that this page is moved to Wikipedia, where I think it will fit better. Does anyone disagree and if not, how should it be done? By importing it at Wikipedia by someone there or by just copy/pasting it, since there doesn't seem to be much relevant history. /Patrik Näsfors (discusscontribs) 17:15, 12 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Importing is controlled by people with rights at the importing wiki. We can import from Wikipedia to Wikiversity. You would need someone at Wikipedia willing to import to get it loaded there. There is a {{Move to Wikipedia}} template that can be added, but by itself, that probably doesn't get it moved.
The problem with importing a page is that it comes in as a separate page. To combine it with an existing page requires a merge to combine the edit histories and then an edit to merge the content. It's not impossible, but definitely challenging and may be more effort than it is worth.
The other approach is to just copy and paste the content into a corresponding Wikipedia article. If you do that, the best option would be to include a permanent link in the edit summary. For example, Copied from https://en.wikiversity.org/w/index.php?title=Ethical_Hacking/White_Hat_Alliance&oldid=1127186 . I would use one of the edits by Dandelko as the source, because that's the only contributing author. Then you have met the CC-BY-SA attribution requirement.

Fine. I think I will go with copy and paste then, when time comes. Good point with adding link to edit summary.
What about the point about the content or missing learning; do you agree that it really don't belong here (and more likely on Wikipedia)?

There are many articles here that don't appear to go beyond encyclopedia content. If this is something you'd like to work on (for this article at least), tag it with the {{Move to Wikipedia}} tag. If no one objects after a reasonable period of time (a month?), go ahead and move it. -- Dave Braunschweig (discusscontribs) 21:03, 12 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I started by tagging this page as you suggested. If I see any other pages I might do it too, but I start with this one.
By the way, is it possible to track/watch changes to categories in an easy way? (I don't mean the "basic" pages for the categories, but the categories listed on these pages). Based on this information from Wikipedia, I suppose not, but I might be wrong. /Patrik Näsfors (discusscontribs) 08:54, 13 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
There is a way to observe category changes. It's not quite the same as track/watch, but you can see what has changed most recently. See {{Category sidebar}}. -- Dave Braunschweig (discusscontribs) 12:24, 13 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
