Talk:Computer
Add topicThe lede sentence is taken directly out of Wikipedia. I like the 'pedia article, but what a waste of 'versity space. We must do something different. I propose we take an historical approach and remind our youth that computers date back long before even their grandparents were born. I will start this approach because I want to link to in in an essay I am writing at
I will place some text in the lede, with the understanding that it might eventually be moved elsewhere by someone who understands the organization of 'versity better than I. I have the bad habit of cluttering the history page with lots of minor edits, so if you want to recover the original lede and don't want to search for it in the history page, just copy and paste the following:
[[File:Computer_n_screen.svg | right ]] A computer is a general purpose device that can be programmed to carry out a set of arithmetic or logical operations automatically. Since a sequence of operations can be readily changed, the computer can solve more than one kind of problem.<ref>[[Wikipedia: Computer]]</ref>
