: Hello, I checked the RFD at Wikibooks. I can see one user suggesting to move to Wikiversity (:b:special:diff/4238829), but I'm not sure if others have agreed with that. The original suggestion seems to be "Moving to Wikisource" (:b:special:diff/4096694), but then the nominator says they are happy to keep in Wikibooks (:b:special:diff/4232954). Another user said that it should be moved to Commons (:b:special:diff/4238871). At this moment, I don't think there is a consensus to move it to Wikiversity, so the discussion over there may need to be continued. In other words, if there is consensus then we can handle this request. I hope this can help you. Other custodians or curators may have something else to say, so this thread will be kept open for a while. Thank you for taking your time to visit Wikiversity. MediaWiki, the software that runs Wikiversity and its sister projects, has a feature that allows importing of pages from other wikis. When a page is imported that way, the edit history is preserved and the license observed. Currently, we can import pages from Wikipedia, Wikibooks, Beta Wikiversity, Wikiquote and Wikisource.

Archived requests for import: Archive 1

New requests for import

You can list here what pages from the above available projects you would like to have imported to Wikiversity.

Completed requests for import are located in the archive.

Template:Regular convex 4-polytopes

Please import the above template from Wikipedia, replacing the previous Wikiversity:Template of that name. I created this template at Wikiversity, and after a period of development copied it to Wikipedia, where the current version now resides. Wikiversity:Regular convex 4-polytopes is the original outdated version of this template, retained only for its development history. If there is a way to ensure that Wikiversity articles will always use the Wikipedia version of this template, without having to reimport it to Wikiversity after each edit to the Wikipedia version, that would be appropriate. (Is there a way to refer directly to a Wikipedia template in a Wikiversity article? I notice that doesn't work.) Thank you! (The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dc.samizdat (talkcontribs) 2 December 2021‎)

@Dc.samizdat: I've tried two different ways to import this but I don't know if it was successful. Your attempts to move and edit the local template have made a clean import very difficult. Going forward, leave it alone locally and just request the import. The import overwrites and updates with more recent changes. If the changes here are more recent, you'll need to update it manually. Since the work is yours anyway, there's no particular licensing benefit to importing. You can just copy and paste.
Regarding the use of templates from other wikis, this has been a requested feature for many years. It would most likely be a reference to Commons (similar to File:), but isn't currently possible. -- Dave Braunschweig (discusscontribs) 23:20, 2 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, sorry for screwing it up. I've copy-and-pasted the current version from Wikipedia and will keep it updated here that way in future. Dc.samizdat (discusscontribs) 23:53, 3 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

11-cell

Developing A Universal Religion

Please import the main page and its subpages per b:Wikibooks:Requests_for_deletion#Developing_A_Universal_Religion.--Jusjih (discusscontribs) 21:33, 19 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I checked the RFD at Wikibooks. I can see one user suggesting to move to Wikiversity (b:special:diff/4238829), but I'm not sure if others have agreed with that. The original suggestion seems to be "Moving to Wikisource" (b:special:diff/4096694), but then the nominator says they are happy to keep in Wikibooks (b:special:diff/4232954). Another user said that it should be moved to Commons (b:special:diff/4238871). @Dušan Kreheľ: Imported to User:Dušan Kreheľ/Anywhere on Earth. This would not be something that belongs in main space, at least at this point. -- Dave Braunschweig (discusscontribs) 01:23, 4 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Free Energy does not Exist

Please migrate my single-page Wikibook, Free Energy does not Exist, to Wikiversity since it is considered to be OR. Thank you. -- Vinyasi (discusscontribs) 08:27, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
