I advanced the proposed deletion date of this page by one year due to small doubts about its deletion. By WV policy on "proposed deletions" (prod), this can be "speedy" deleted if you are certain that it should be deleted.

Welcome to the Chemistry Help Forum for High School chemistry!

While this Forum can be used for any HS chemistry related Wikiversity activity, the initial focus of this Forum be on developing resources for new chemistry teachers. One of the biggest hurdles in developing good new chemistry teachers is avoiding the burn-out many experience from the overwhelming demands and challenges of the first few years of teaching.

There are plenty of resources online that provide factual knowledge about chemistry. In fact, there is now almost too much out there causing new teachers to get lost in the woods. Writing a chemistry textbook is not the goal here - that can be done elsewhere in Wiki universe.

What seems to be missing from the arsenal of chemistry information on the web is a "single voice" that a relative newcomer can follow to enable them to succeed during those critical first few years. A "best practice" set of Unit and Daily Lesson Plans with specific instructions and recommendations would go a long way toward providing a better experience for the new teacher (and their students). I envision a set of related Labs, Homework, Classwork, Quizzes and Tests being part of this package. Each teacher can use these day-by-day plans as a launching point and adapt them to meet their needs.

If someone knows a place where resources like this already exist or is in process of being developed, please leave a message at User talk:Exothermic101. Any feedback would be helpful!

MORE to COME! Working on this offline for now.
