Having discussed with with editorial board, we have decided to decline this submission as a desk rejection. The article reads as an opinion piece that doesn't sufficiently represent the current state of science in the chosen sub-field, present its points sufficiently coherently, or properly reference information. It therefore doesn't meet the threshold of merit necessary for sending out for peer review.
