Talk:South Africa Community Projects
Add topicHello, hope we can also expect some content on this page ? ----Erkan Yilmaz (my talk page, wiki blog) 15:35, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
coming soon ... but we are restructuring the site ....
Suggest: rename and move the content under this link to the new portal:
The hierarchy is currently: - from the old main page, now superceded
(See the new hierarchy)
Historical Interest:
Under "Community projects":
- http://en.wikiversity.org/wiki/CommunityProjectsSouthAfrica_UP
- http://en.wikiversity.org/wiki/CommunityProjectsSouthAfrica_UP_JCP
- on this page we find two PDFs - make these wiki pages so people can comment and edit.
- then we have a sub-heading "CURRENT PROJECTS" under which we find:
- on this page we find two PDFs - make these wiki pages so people can comment and edit.
- http://en.wikiversity.org/wiki/CommunityProjectsSouthAfrica_UP
Actually, all the above are not in a real hierarchy.
I suggest we aim for some structure and design some tags. The natural places to find these things:
- from the top level of the new portal:
1 - Biopelo: Main page - Community Projects - (by region or by theme)
- I suggest using a hierarchy for the geographical regions and tags/categories for the themes.
2 - UP's projects: most projects should span institutions. Rather make a page for UP under Networking and maintain a list of projects UP is involved in there.
3 - South Africa's projects - find them by region (via the hierarchy). Or by Category:Social Entrepreneurship South Africa - perhaps create a namespace "Social Entrepreneurship".
4 - The PDFs: the safety page is easy, and can go under some planning module/section, and be referenced from other places.
the other one is an excellent overview and could be used to inform the structure of the new portal - or perhaps the next portal - a new area for the students to develop their own curriculum, etc. It could also serve as the detailed curriculum for a module on Community-based Learning.
