Rename[edit source]

@Psubhashish: This looks like an excellent contribution. Sometime between now and when you are finished with it, please rename the page to be more in line with the content. See Wikiversity:Naming conventions for more information. Thanks! -- Dave Braunschweig (discusscontribs) 16:04, 4 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Dave Braunschweig:, thanks for the nudge. Will certainly name this after the editing. BTW this page is for the Santali-language version of the project. The idea is to finish the English version and then have it translated in Santali. I know Wikimedia projects are always language specific but there is no scope for a Santali Wikiversity at the moment. There is no community nor is it a priority for the Santali Wikimedia community. In such a situation only a partial/full translation of this project will exist here. Often times, Meta-Wiki pages are created in this fashion e.g. NAME/<ISO CODE>. That was the reason I named it as OpenSpeaks/sat (sat being the ISO-639 code for Santali). But I might be wrong there. As a long-term Wikiversity contributor, do you suggest we rename in a different manner as this is not the usual way of translating a project? I am really open to suggestions. --Psubhashish (discusscontribs) 04:17, 5 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Psubhashish: See Template:Translations. Your approach is correct. You make the English page the parent page (which at Wikiversity may be a subpage itself) with a standard English title. Then add the /sat subpage translated to Santali. -- Dave Braunschweig (discusscontribs) 04:26, 5 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
