Overall

  1. Overall, this is a solid DI-level textook chapter - well done. There is an excellent balance between theory and research, with good use of textbook-style stop and think activities. Due to late submission, detailed comments aren't provided. See a couple of suggestions below, plus some quick edits I've made to the chapter.
  1. Written expression
    1. The focus questions could have been more clearly developed - why these questions/topics? Justify. Getting comments on a chapter plan and/or chapter draft could have helped with this aspect.
    2. Some paragraphs were overly long. Each paragraph should communicate one key idea in three to five sentences.
  2. Learning features
    1. Wiki-links to other textbook chapters e.g., risk-taking would be desirable.
  3. Spelling, grammar and proofreading
    1. Several proofreading errors were noted.
    2. More detailed image captions would be helpful.

  1. This presentation provides a rather rapid fire narration of key points from the chapter. The content itself is well structured, but could really have done with being more selected so as to allow the reader time to think and understand.
  2. Take a bit more time at the start to establish the topic and its importance.
  3. Narrative voice was too fast. Leave longer pauses between sentences and between slides for the ideas to sink in.
  4. Use greater variation in tone to increase viewer attention and interest.
  5. Font size - increase minimum font size (maybe use less text on each slide)
