Overall

[edit source]
  1. Overall, this is a very impressive chapter (HD-level). Most impressive are the detailed, but selective descriptions of relevant research. The chapter was also well structured (although focus questions would have helped) and clearly a considerable amount of background reading and thinking has gone into the chapter. The quality of written expression is reasonably good (but paragraphs could be shorter and more proofreading needed). Detailed feedback is somewhat limited due to the extended submission. Also see my edits on the chapter for some suggestions.
  1. Written expression
    1. Some paragraphs were overly long. Each paragraph should communicate one key idea in three to five sentences.
    2. The chapter could have benefited from developing clear focus questions. Getting comments on a chapter plan and/or chapter draft could have helped with this aspect.

Overall

  1. This is a high quality presentation - well done :)
  2. Wow! This was a creative, dynamic web-cam style presentation - something really different from narrated bullet-points!
  3. It felt like you were engaging with the viewer.
  4. Maybe take time to explain more about what will be covered if the viewer continues to watch.
  5. Use of key questions as a structure was effective.
  6. To improve I would probably have less content, just focus more on key points / take-home messages, and embellish these a bit e.g., with examples or research.
  7. Great end.
