For what it's worth, I've never in my life heard a native French speaker say "comme ci comme ça." "Pas mal" might be a better response. The Jade Knight 08:14, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I did... :) "Comme ci comme ça" doesn't men the same thing as "pas mal". "Comme ci comme ça" means more that there is a little bit wrong in there... :) 193.191.208.4 11:07, 19 January 2007 (UTC) (Oups... Not logged in... Utilisateur:Min's)[reply]

When I try to listen to the audio files it takes me to a page to upload them. How do I listen to them? Also the asterisks in the alphabet are never explained. Thank you. Mondomunchies 02:54, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This content largely reduplicates content at Wikibooks. The two should be merged. The Jade Knight 03:04, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Audio file[edit source]

When I try to listen to the audio file, Windows Media Player says that it can't read it. I have the latest versions of both the OGG filter and Windows Media Player. Are you sure that the file isn't corrupted? Believe it or not, but I'm actually having similar problems on my own website!--160.36.117.91 20:31, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Which file? The first one doesn't work for me, either, having checked it just now. The Jade Knight 02:28, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I am the one who put the audio files. I made them from my Linux distribution so it's maybe why you don't succeed in reading them (I actually can't read them with Windows). I'm going to record them again. User:Kitame 08:39 pm, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
The Greetings ogg file was bogus, looks like a Word doc, maybe virus infected? See my note in http://en.wikiversity.org/wiki/Talk:Learning_the_basics_of_French/Introducing_Yourself . I am about to hack this page not to refer to it anymore, as I just did for that other one. --Yako 00:04, 19 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Gaa, looks like the Alphabet ogg file is an exact copy of that. Hacking that out as well. --Yako 00:04, 19 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

An error[edit source]

Hello, I'm french.
When I've looked this page, I've see an error :
We don't say courses, but cours.
Courses is the moment where you're in a supermarket, for feed you're family ;)

PS : Excuse me for my bad level in the language :)

Answer to "Ca va ?"[edit source]

Maybe would it be a good thing to tell people that we can (and, most of the time, we do) answer "oui" or "ouais" to "ca va ?", not only "très bien" or "bien" , because I know it's quite surprising for English-speakers. Merci pour ta réaction. We are a wiki. Just be bold, ----Erkan Yilmaz Wikiversity:Chat 21:47, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
