Another Perspective

Think about all the people in power right now in the US

When you have a society based on Economy, Morality comes second or third or fourth.

Economics is subjective, when at our true essence, life is objective, but the line has been so misconstrued over the years, people have lost sight of this.

Economics is great, but it should not be put over our livilihood. Economics is designed to create want, if this creation was never created then we would live off of needs and why not emphasize our needs instead of creating want. Instead of creating wants to make money, why don't people create real bonds with their family, friends and anyone else in the world. When's the last time you had a meaningful conversation where money, or anything material had nothing to do with it?

But the truth is too much money would be lost if it was like this, so it will not happen, money creates too much greed in the world and it's a shame.

But please prove me wrong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.21.13.253 (talkcontribs) 17:15, 21 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Not out to prove you wrong, merely advocating for the other side: Clayson's book, 'The Richest Man In Babylon' suggests, an immaterial resource such as money, can alleviate-burdens-of-labor, rather than amplify them. Its my contention, that if money is accurately-representive of the labor, resource, and value of that resource, than money can leverage-labor and do more work in essence that didn't exist before.

Here state-side, income-tax is basically: 30-percent. Ideally if laborers work 30-percent harder for there paychecks, and if that said-30-percent pools the right-resources than the laborers-dependents get taken care of. That is, if the proper-authorities, allocate them to do so.

Than its merely a question of scale, to increase quality-of-life for the country in question.
