Heading casing[edit source]

FYI, the convention on Wikiversity is for lower-cased headings (or sentence casing). For example, use:

==Cats and dogs==

rather than

==Cats and Dogs==

Chapter review and feedback[edit source]

This chapter has been reviewed according to the marking criteria. Written feedback is provided below, plus there is a general feedback page. Please also check the chapter's page history to check for editing changes made whilst reviewing through the chapter. Responses to this feedback can be made by starting a new section below and/or contacting the reviewer. Chapter marks will be available later via UCLearn Canvas, along with social contribution marks and feedback. Keep an eye on Announcements.

Overall[edit source]

  1. Overall, this is a promising chapter that successfully uses psychological theory and research to explain a model. The chapter could be improved by providing more readl world examples and explaining the concept in a way that is easier for non-experts to understand.
  2. The Overview refers to "a number" of questions; but there are only two focus questions. Consider expanding.
  3. Consider adding one or more examples or case studies to the Overview to help bring the chapter to life for a reader unfamiliar with the topic.
  4. For additional feedback, see comments below and these copyedits.

Theory[edit source]

  1. Relevant theory is covered, however, the description of the theory is rather abstract and would benefit from more real world, practical examples.

Research[edit source]

  1. Relevant research is reviewed and discussed in relation to theory in a balanced manner.

Written expression[edit source]

  1. Written expression
    1. Overall, the chapter is not very well written for the target audience. How can the topic be made more appealing and interesting?
    2. Avoid one sentence paragraphs. A paragraph should typically consist of three to five sentences.
    3. Some paragraphs are overly long. Each paragraph should communicate one key idea in three to five sentences.
  2. Learning features
    1. Basic use of interwiki links; also embed links to related book chapters.
    2. Basic use of images.
    3. No use of tables.
    4. Basic use of feature boxes.
    5. Good use of quizzes.
    6. No use of case studies or examples.
  3. Grammar
    1. Check and correct use of ownership apostrophes (e.g., individuals vs. individual's).
  4. Proofreading
    1. Remove unnecessary capitalisation.
  5. APA style
    1. Numbers under 10 should be written in words (e.g., five); numbers 10 and over should be written in numbers (e.g., 10).
    2. Citations are not in full APA style. For example:
      1. Use ampersand (&) inside brackets and "and" outside brackets.
      2. References are not in full APA style. For example:
      3. Check and correct use of capitalisation.
      4. Check and correct use of italicisation.
