Hi, I was reading this article and remembered someone was doing organ donation. Although this article is sad (and a little gruesome), it does give mention to the lack of organ donation in China and the ramifications. I think organ donation and intrinsic motivation (my topic) probably share a connection, however strong that connection may be. Hi there

I noticed your post about linking your topic to self help, this may be of assistance or not.....There was an article in the Daily Telegraph 29/10 about a liitle girl aged 6 who was killed on the weekend when a kangaroo hit the family vehicle, the family donated her organs. Her parents spoke of finding comfort in this knowing that her death had saved the lives of others, they also reflected on reciprocation, in that if the cirrcumstances were turned and their daughter had needed help of this nature (an organ donation) that someone else would do the same for her . Perhaps the self help aspect of organ donation is also relative to family members who can find comfort knowing that a loved ones death was not entirely in vain, which may help in the grieving process.

Overall Fantastic effort for a fascinating topic. Theory The chapter had good exploration of theories involving why people do or don’t donate, good work! For future improvement, try to engage in a little more critical analysis of the theories, this was present in the TPB section and was excellent to see. Research There was certainly some interesting research and the chapter made good use of statistics, this provided a lot of context. To improve in the future, the chapter needs to include critical analysis of the research cited. It would also benefit the chapter to spend a little more time on the conclusion draw from the research. The chapter mentions knowledge and discussion as primary ways of overcoming the barrier, but some further expansion would have been lovely. Great work! Written expression The expression was mainly clear, however there were some grammatical issues, I recommend a thorough edit before submission. Good balance of academic and self help language! The headings were correct and the flow of the paragraphs worked well. I thought your learning features were fantastic, though I took the altruism quiz and was a little confused by it! Great pictures and in text links. I would recommend refreshing knowledge on APA style – there were some and/& errors in the in text citations, and remember DOI’s or web addresses for every reference.
