Wikiversity:MOOC Interface/Glossary

From Wikiversity

This glossary contains the terms used in the MOOC interface documentation.

MOOC index

[edit source]

The MOOC index is the central wiki page of a MOOC that holds its structure and meta data for each MOOC item.

We consider each lesson and unit an item. Items are put in a hierarchy that form the MOOC's structure: Units form a lesson, lessons form the MOOC. Each item has a wiki page that displays it.

Lesson

[edit source]

Lessons split the MOOC into smaller parts. They are top-level items of the MOOC that contain zero up to more units.

A unit divides its parental lesson into small parts and are not splitted up further. They are second-level items of the MOOC.
