Mediawiki, the software that runs Wikiversity and its sister projects, has a feature that allows importing of pages from other wikis. When a page is imported that way, the edit history is preserved and the license observed. Currently, we can import pages from Wikipedia, Wikibooks, betawikiversity, Wikiquote and Wikisource.

w:Leptospirosis[edit]

Request to import this wikipage into WikiJournal Preprints/Leptospirosis. The wikipage just updated into Good article status. Would like the journal to reflect the highest quality available Wiki version of the article. Thank you. Cerevisae (discusscontribs) 13:28, 23 August 2019 (UTC)

@Cerevisae: N Not done Unfortunately, the import is failing. There are too many changes for it to import with history, and there's a database lock preventing it from importing without history. Just copy and paste and include a link in the edit summary when you update the most recent content. Sorry. -- Dave Braunschweig (discusscontribs) 21:36, 23 August 2019 (UTC)
No problem Dave Braunschweig. I am unable to update the pre-print because of this one "Error: This action has been automatically identified as harmful, and therefore disallowed. If you believe your action was constructive, please inform an administrator of what you were trying to do. A brief description of the abuse rule which your action matched is: New User Blocked Edit". I tried to request custodian action to unblock me but there is no response to my question. I actually have a complete template ready for the updated version of the pre-print. Do you mind if I ask you to copy and paste for me at one go from my sandbox? I am blocked from editing my own sandbox also. That's why I put it on Wikipedia. The coding is not compatile on wikipedia so you can see some codes here and there.Cerevisae (discusscontribs) 06:19, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
Problem resolved. After I made my tenth edit on Wikiversity, I am able to update the pre-print without being blocked. Thanks. Cerevisae (discusscontribs) 06:26, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
@Cerevisae: Sorry, our abuse filter isn't optimal, but it is blocking more vandalism than false positives. I appreciate your dedication to getting it posted. You should be good to go now. -- Dave Braunschweig (discusscontribs) 14:32, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
