Create "Cold War II" page here?
[edit source]I would like to be bold and all, but first I want to make sure whether the "Cold War II" page would be appropriate here. Indeed, there are Wikipedia, Wikiquote, and Wiktionary entries, the latter two that I created. Maybe I can add my opinions in the Wikiversity entry, but I've never created the first mainspace-page before. --George Ho (discuss • contribs) 02:12, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
- @George Ho: I've created a base Cold War II page. Please feel free to add user learning opportunities to the main page. Essays, lectures, opinions, etc. should be added as subpages, preserving a relatively neutral main page. Thanks! -- Dave Braunschweig (discuss • contribs) 02:33, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
- I created one subpage. I don't know how many more I must create. However, I saw that the passage was copied from Wikipedia. Should it be rewritten? --George Ho (discuss • contribs) 04:21, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
- @George Ho: Create as many subpages as are appropriate to the learning project. It could be one or dozens. I would encourage you to consider how others will "learn by doing" with this project. What research should they do? How can they contribute? Separately, Wikipedia content may be copied if it is properly referenced. You are also welcome to edit / rewrite it. It's a wiki. -- Dave Braunschweig (discuss • contribs) 13:33, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
Question
[edit source]Is original fiction allowed on Wikiversity? Lojbanist (discuss • contribs) 00:52, 2 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Lojbanist: It depends on the subject and the learning project it is attached to. Consider starting a draft (name the page starting with Draft:) so we can see where you are headed with this request. -- Dave Braunschweig (discuss • contribs) 01:14, 2 April 2018 (UTC)
What's with the Copyright Information ? The file is used in that page ! HyperMario1234 (discuss • contribs)
- The file did not have appropriate licensing information and was deleted 8 years ago. -- Dave Braunschweig (discuss • contribs) 14:03, 3 April 2018 (UTC)

- I don't know what the filter says because it's not available to the public, but I created the content anyways. --George Ho (discuss • contribs) 09:45, 3 April 2018 (UTC)
The filter is correct. User:HyperMario1234 is a new user account who has created too many new pages. I also suspect that this is a sock of a blocked account. If the user's abusive approach continues, I will block and/or follow up with stewards. -- Dave Braunschweig (discuss • contribs) 14:10, 3 April 2018 (UTC)
- I concur with Dave on this. This user's editing patterns are of similarity to Billinghurst0 and Billinghurst1. See also the revision history of "User:Atcovi/Geometry1", where Billinghurst0, Billinghurst1, and this user, "HyperMario1234", do the same exact vandalism again and again. Due to the recent vandalism [on this page], I have protected the page from new user accounts/IPs for a month. I think it is worthwhile to notify a steward about these accounts. ---Atcovi (Talk - Contribs) 19:53, 3 April 2018 (UTC)

- What specific topic would you like to start on? ---Atcovi (Talk - Contribs) 18:17, 9 April 2018 (UTC)
- Nevermind Im actually good Thanks. Unless you would like to help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by EarlGrey2005 (talk • contribs)
- Good to know you got everything ready. As for the moment, I'm pretty busy with my own subjects (you can see my class box on my user page for those subjects) so I, unfortunately, will not able to help you out in your project. Good luck with your project, either way! ---Atcovi (Talk - Contribs) 21:36, 9 April 2018 (UTC)
