Listing user subpages[edit source]

You may wish to add a column "! subpages" for the list of user-sub-pages: special:prefixindex/User:WikiversityJack/. Hillgentleman|Talk 02:32, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think there is any automatic way to do it. Both the parser function #ifexist (meta:help:ParserFunctions) and meta:template:exist (which uses the parserfunction anchorencode) are only able to check specific pagenames. Hillgentleman|Talk 13:31, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Graphing[edit source]

I'm just starting to think about ways I could summarise the data into graphical format. Is there a graphical function? Alernatively, I'm thinking that a function could be created to display one of say 10 different images for each user to indicate the "size" of contributions for example. -- Jtneill - Talk - c 04:39, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

try mw:Extension:EasyTimeline - it is enabled on meta: and mw: but not here; you may file a bug for it. Hillgentleman|Talk 05:11, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Appreciate the guidance here. 15804 is the bug report I made for Extension:EasyTimeline to be enabled on WV. -- Jtneill - Talk - c 06:57, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Remember to vote[1] for your bug. Hillgentleman|Talk 07:13, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well, how about that! It is already enabled here . But I learnt about bug reports! Will investigate some more... -- Jtneill - Talk - c 07:21, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've played some with the EasyTimeline extension here: User:Jtneill/Sandbox/EasyTimeline but couldn't quite get what I was after. Then realised that maybe for my specific need here, EasyTimeline is overkill!? So, I decided to play with Tables and now seem to have something like what I'd imagined working here: Social psychology (psychology)/Participants#Profile list. See what you think. I daresay the code could be tidied/improved, but it seems to "work"! -- Jtneill - Talk - c 11:55, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
