Talk:What killed the dinosaurs?
While excess atmospheric CO2 and SO2 would have undoubtedly killed many organisms, it seems unlikely that one volcanic eruption could have wiped out dinosaurs all over the Earth. The effects would have been devastating to organisms living close to the volcano, but on the other side of the planet? Also, the survival rate of this disaster should have been almost zero as no organism lives independently of the atmosphere. Many avian, insect and reptile species of dinosaurs managed to survive, but the toxic gases in the air should have killed them as well. PolkaDots576 (talk) 02:43, 4 April 2012 (UTC)
Comet[edit source]
It is really simple. There was a comet because many people say there was a comet. An Ice Age would not kill any parts of the dinasour. I reckon that there was a comet because now today. The roads on our present-day living conditions are cracked. Maybe back a long time ago, (there were no roads) the mass extinction of the dinasour is a comet because now you can see cracked streets. ---Draubb
