virtues as moderation[edit source]
Plato or prehaps Socraties conceived of each virtue as a balance between vices at the extremes. For example courage is a balance between cowardice and recklessness. Try to find a good reference for this and include the list here. --Lbeaumont 13:41, 29 September 2011 (UTC)
