Connect entropy with information theory and the big bang

Consider connecting entropy with information theory and entropy with the big bang. I understand that the Boltzmann concept of entropy corresponds closely with the Shannon concept of information. I also understand that the big bang began with zero entropy in the universe, and the unfolding of the universe over the next 13 billion years represents the increase in the entropy of the universe.
