@Mfruecht: Appreciate how you notice the way in which Eumaeus goes above and beyond the norm of hospitality. I wonder if Odysseus is acting according to the norm by testing it in this way? Re: the two omens...could you say more about the context of each in the chapter? They seem to be happening at a key time, and with similar things happening. You might also look at who notices & interprets the omen, and how they interpret it. There's lots of interesting stuff going on. -Joey Cross (discuss • contribs) 18:34, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
