For Instructors

[edit source]

Welcome to this course on Student Success. It is often titled College Success elsewhere, but we wanted to focus on having successful students rather than a successful college. This course is also specifically designed to engage and support online learners.

If you are teaching this course in an eight-week format, we recommend the following sequence:

  1. Introduction
  2. Time Management, Social Interaction
  3. Learning Strategies, Study Skills
  4. Critical Thinking, Information Literacy
  5. Health and Safety, Finances
  6. Career Exploration
  7. Final Project (Academic Plan, etc.)
  8. Conclusion

Additional course resources are available from Lumen Learning.

This course will be in use by at least one real-world school starting in August 2020. Please contact the course designers before making any major changes. Thanks! -- Dave Braunschweig (discusscontribs) 23:19, 28 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
