I couldn't figure out how to do an external link to the background information section of the Wikiversity:Research process page. Does anyone know how to?

Also, what are entries on wikiversity called? entries? pages? essays?

The link should be like this: [[Wikiversity:Research process#Background_information]] and produces this. I refer to WV pages as "pages", but "entries" is also good. --Gbaor 12:19, 24 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

I Answered the Questions on February 26th

[edit source]

I just want to note that I answered the questions on February 26th, but that I forgot to log-in. So the changes for this version, were written by me, the person doing the original research. --Charles Jeffrey Danoff 02:39, 27 February 2010 (UTC) Note, signature added the next dayReply

This is the IP address the changes that I, Charles Jeffrey Danoff, made those changes from yesterday. --60.175.8.42 02:38, 27 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Just for the record

[edit source]

A few questions to fill in the background to the research.

  • For the sake of an international readership. How old are 7th & 8th Grade students in China?
  • How many years schooling have they had?
  • What is the socio-economic background of the students? (Parental occupations, rural or urban location, etc.)
  • What is their previous experience of learning English?
  • How often and for what duration are the English lessons?
  • Is the curriculum compulsory?
  • Are the textbooks compulsory?
  • How are pupils seated?
  • How many pupils in the class?
  • Do students have a textbook each?
  • Are the accompanying tapes (mentioned in the publishers blurb) available?
  • Does the teacher speak Chinese?--Harkey 20:13, 2 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
Thanks Harkey, those are all helpful, and need to be addressed.

I (Mr. Danoff) made these changes while over at a friend's last night
